BlockCAD, to remind us of Lego
This week Google reminded us that Lego is 50 years old, an economic emporium that was born from the idea of a carpenter, who after a fire that destroyed his workshop in 1924 began to design his new building with small pieces. Although initially wooden figures existed, it was not until 1949 when the pieces with which we all play someday came onto the market.
Lego comes from the Danish phrase leg godt, which means “play well”, and for those of you who have kids who like to be inventive, we recommend BlockCAD, a free program that can help them develop their three-dimensional ability.
Among some events that took place last year, in Barcelona the first Hispabrick from 8 to 9 of December of 2007, where they presented impressive works realized with pieces of layman.
