You are about to start the diploma in OT
The start date of a new edition of the Higher Diploma in Land Management and Planning (DSPOT) is approaching in the first semester of 2009. This will be taking place in Antigua Guatemala, promoted by the foundation DEMUCA and with participation of the Lincoln Institute.
The DSPOT is aimed at municipal authorities and officials as well as other key local actors with influence and influence on the processes of territorial planning and local development. It will be taught for a total of 35-40 participants, with 5 representatives for each country of Central America and the Dominican Republic. In order to facilitate the practical work throughout the Diploma and promote territorial ordering processes that can be subsequently implemented, it is expected that each delegation by country be local actors of the same commonwealth or municipality
Learning Objectives:
- The DSPOT intends to explore with the participants the different stages of the formulation of a Strategic Plan of Territorial Planning and its management tools, with the purpose of systematizing actions and comparing experiences already acquired.
- The DSPOT aims to strengthen the capacities of the participants by exposing them to the methodologies for building diagnostics and solution strategies and to a discussion of the available political, technical and economic maneuvering space to carry out a Plan up to its execution

The diploma will be held in three days of a week in Antigua Guatemala, on these dates:
- April 20-25
- 25-30 May
- 22-27 June 2009

For now, it is possible to support some technicians to go there, not only to take pictures in the park, but to systematize a land use plan that we have been promoting.
