Synchronize ArcGIS with Google Earth

This application allows ArcGIS to open a Google Earth window of the same coverage and keep it synchronized. It's free and apparently benefits from the ads that appear at the top of the map.

Google earth arcmap

The Google Earth window is updated as you move or zoom in on ArcGIS ... and it also works in reverse, navigating in the Google Earth window.

How to download it

To access, you need ArcGIS 9x, and download it from this site.

How to install it

Once downloaded, unzip the .zip file and run the Run _install.bat file

How to activate it

When running ArcMap, in the top menu, select "window / google"

This video shows how it works, and in this post of the Gabriel Ortiz forum show you how to break the coconut if it gives installation problems.

  • g! July, 2008 at

As far as I know, you can not download georeferenced images.

for that there are applications as stitchmaps With which if you can download images with a calibration file and then georeferenciarlas.

  • Eddison July, 2008 at

Because the interesting thing is that you can download sections of images and that you can work them directly in ARCGIS

    Thank you

  • Eddison July, 2008 at

hello again, I have already managed to install it and make it appear in windows "google" etc but I have some problems:

    - Instead of the Google Earth explorer I get the Google page and I cannot access Google Earth from there
    - When I try to do something I get an error message and it sends me to debug the program
    Thanks again

  • g! April, 2008 at

To activate it you do it in the menu
