Interactive maps
Some time ago I talked about the interactive maps to learn geography, reading in Itacasig I have found another interesting collection of maps in flash format available to download or embed on the web Maps of War.
The main focus is historical and political, they can be very useful for educational purposes. In the case of the map that I am showing below, it graphically recounts on a timeline the different moments that marked a milestone for the emergence of religious ideologies since the birth of Krishna, founder of Hinduism, Judaism, Christianity, Buddhism and Islam… all in 90 seconds.
My respects for whoever did this work, some time ago my girl was doing a project on this and it would have been very useful for her exhibition, I would have been very surprised when she showed dynamically the scope of the missions of the early church, crusades and missions foreign ... I know because I had to suffer a pure fluorescent marker and Powerpoint.
There are also other maps, such as:
- Map of the world empires
- Map of the evolution of forms of government
- Map of the wars, including the Iraqi conflict
It is also interesting an aerial image of Saddam Hussein's palace before and after the occupation, when clicking on the red button "change the view" they are seen as green areas that became parking lots and I do not know what other facilities that are come from celestial ceiling.
But as the name implies, the best is in the links and maps that reflect information related to wars or terrorism, in which there are different animations mainly from the Middle East.
Also in the links to other sites there is a lot to see, such as the interactive map of the global migration or the satellite evidence of the Darfur attacks, showing different areas before and after it.
