Today I had great news, SQL Server Express 2008 supports spatial data natively.

For those who are left with the doubt of the importance of this news, Server Express is the free version of SQL that allows you to implement GIS applications in platforms of medium level, if not exist we would have to use MySQL that is not so recommended for these purposes.

Earlier we had talked about the GIS platforms which are already in tune with the integration with spatial data natively, among them ArcSDE, CadCorp and Manifold.
