This week the stable version of gvSIG 1.9 was announced, of which we had the RC1 in August and the Alpha in December of 2008.
This version possibly makes history, because the maturity is enough to promote it for municipal use, without being belittled by small things that ArcView 3x did and that gvSIG 1.3 did not do.
They have faithfully fulfilled the promised improvements in the Alpha version, marked in red It was extra, it was not mentioned in that first one.

I could not download.
Get to the link http://www.gvsig.org/web/ Then nothing happens anymore
Ok, 4 minutes has completed the download.
It seems that OSOR is having problems with the continuous requests for gvSIG downloads and they are in the process of fixing it.
Another link where you can download gvSIG 1.9:
I hope it is because many are downloading it, because the complaint is on the distribution lists.
I'm finding it unlikely to download. One: almost all the downloads are delayed until eternity (hours) and I give up in the effort. Two: this weekend I had it, I downloaded it, the problem is that the file turns out to be corrupt and I can not install anything. I will keep trying.
