The Sweet Taste of the Cadastre

This is the subject of a DVD that you gave me Diego Erba after an interview some time ago in his visit to Honduras. The title is somewhat ambiguous, however the content is delightful to hear, and see since they are very well made videos.

Among its contents are:

  • The Territorial Cadastre; concepts and evolution
  • Cadastral Professionals
  • The Territorial Cadastre and the Informal Markets
  • The Territorial Cadastre and the Property Tax
  • The Territorial Cadastre and the Capital Gains
  • The Territorial Cadastre and Urban Planning
  • Cadastral Update

In addition, there are testimonies of the land regularization processes in the countries: Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Paraguay, Dominican Republic, Uruguay and Venezuela.
This material was produced by the "Lincoln Institute of Land Policy", which since 1993 has a program for Latin America and the Caribbean in which, through educational programs, research and publications, it promotes debate on land policy issues.

Update 2011. In one of the congresses, I heard Diego say that it is available to view online:  Watch video

You have to create an account or login with an existing one, and sometimes battle with the browser's codec, but it is available there.

If not, someone uploaded it to Youtube and can be seen in four segments;
