Display QGIS data in Google Earth
GEarthView is an essential plugin that allows you to make a synchronized view of a Quantum GIS deployment on Google Earth.
How to install the plugin
To install it, select: Add-ons> Manage add-ons and search for it, as shown in the image.
Once the plugin is installed, it can be displayed in the toolbar.
How to synchronize the view in Google Earth
Once the plugin is installed, if we want to show this display, the “GEarthView” option is selected. Google Earth must be installed, although it does not need to be running.
As a result we will have the layer in the form of wms, in Google Eath.
The service is displayed as image, but with option to display data when clicking, as well as a wms.
It is interesting, that the deployment properties, such as transparency, layer order, etc., are gone.
In the video you can see the operation.
Greetings .... install the plugins and everything is perfect, however when I try to activate the view after opening Google Earth, the Global Mapper opens, which I also have installed on the PC ...
Thank you
Very good this post. Thanks to Roberto for the data of the Zope and Twisted bookstores. Could not install or run this plugin.
Talking to the creator of the plugin, he sent me this email:
1) QGIS view moves according to GoogleEarth view
2) GoogleEarth view center coordinates (with Z!) Now displayed on QGIS status bas
3) QGIS can place data points taken from GoogleEarth view center
4) GoogleEarth display the quote Z of point at view center
5) GoogleEarth and QGIS have a QrCode for each point saved
What is the bad new? Only this: you need to install two new python libraries:
Twisted
Zope
Hello, the plugins do not work, I get an error, it says that it is broken, I am working with the 2.4 version of QGis, installed in Windows 7 of 64 bits.
What steps should I follow, need to install something else and how do I do it?
Thank you, Estela
In my blog I inserted a simple video showing how to install GEarthView 2.o on MacOSX:
http://exporttocanoma.blogspot.it/2015/01/gearthview-20-plugin-per-qgis.html
For the python libraries, for the moment, you can find both there:
https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B61MnFr3hr6mTVg1SVNLVmFDSGM&usp=sharing
: )
If you are on Windows, you need to install them inside the Apps / Python / site-packages of QGIS.
Please, report me if OK.

Thanks for the info.
In the link there's only
It seems like it should be installed:
twisted Twisted-13.0.0-py2.7-win32

zope zope.interface-3.6.0-py2.7-win32
The first there's no problem, but the second, in the link there's only this files:

Where's the 2.7 version?
Hello,
I released the new 2.0 of GEarthView plugin.
These are the news:
1) QGIS view moves according to GoogleEarth view
2) GoogleEarth view center coordinates (with Z!) Now displayed on QGIS status bas
3) QGIS can place data points taken from GoogleEarth view center
4) GoogleEarth display the quote Z of point at view center
5) GoogleEarth and QGIS have a QrCode for each point saved
What is the bad new? Only this: you need to install two new python libraries:
Twisted
Zope
But it's simple, and advantages are many.
Regards
Roberto
