How to convert docx files to doc
Microsoft Word version 2007 uses the docx format, to see them with an earlier version of Word, you only need to have an Internet connection and download an extension.
Currently, after forma tear my machine I have decided not to use pirated programs;), we will see how far my honesty goes; so I have opted to use Open Office. I have what I need for Word, Excel, Power Point and Access, but after searching through a multitude of pages that offered me an extension to see a docx file with Open Office I ended up arriving at a site that converts files online.
The site is http://www.docx2doc.com/, the guys who own this page are very clever, they make you convert 2007 word files to previous formats (.doc) and to earn money on the matter, they keep you locked for 24 hours, after this time you can download them.
Ah, if you want to download them immediately you pay $ 5.00 via Paypal or credit card and you are entitled to a full year.
My respect for your cunning, and in the hurry to send a document with urgency, instead of looking at sites that only sent me solutions for operating systems in Linux I had to leave the 5 dolaritos.
Surely there must be a way to do it with Open Office, an extension ... but I see that a good way to do business is to take advantage of the urgency ...
Upgrade…
The 3 version of Open Office opens Word 2007 files
Also this tool he does it online ... for free
Look at this entry I propose an article that works divinely for text, it is portable and free code, so you can see at the moment docx without having to endure the long waits of the web applications, or to be able to install Word 2007 because it was in the job.

Yes, I've had a lot of work. G !, thanks for reminding me
I anticipate that I have almost ready a material (they are actually a set of articles) that have given me several small headaches but I am happy because I have also learned a lot. It's coming ... And in this halftime, my mailbox has also filled with so much spam that I think I'm going to write an off topic as a public service notice ...
Many greetings from Peru
Nancy
Thanks Nancy, we have missed you ... a lot of work?
Hi Gol ** !. I would add the way I work:
When I first save the file in Word 2007, I choose File Type in the dialog box, the 97 -2003 WORD DOCUMENT option and click SAVE.
For the successive "saved" Word respects your initial option 🙂
So I open it in my house without problems. Greetings from Peru
Nancy
Thanks for the link but the solution raised is if you have office version earlier. In my case, I only have Open Office
Do not complicate yourselves, currently Microsoft has released a patch to be able to open docx files from office 2000. The link where I saw it is the following:

A greeting and that you are useful, to me if that helped enough
Some time ago for problems with an MSoffice application, I'm using the OpenOffice package.
I am really amazed by the quality of the product, a luxury to be free.
It also integrates a list of applications capable of running on a pendrive http://portableapps.com/apps
Greetings to you
