Learning AutoCAD Viewing
Today there are several free AutoCAD courses on the Internet, with this we do not intend to duplicate the effort already fulfilled by others, but rather to complement a contribution that presents the barrier between the course that explains all the commands and the reality of the user that once knowing the commandos do not know where to start.
This content is a sequence of videos that show how the construction plans of a house are made, step by step. The course is based on AutoCAD in versions before 2009, however the operation logic remains the same and in some cases some steps have been facilitated with the arrival of the AutoCAD 2009 interface and it has been maintained until AutoCAD 2013.
It is clear that some steps are elaborated in this way for pedagogical purposes but that over time users learn to do them in other, more practical ways. However, for someone who wants to learn AutoCAD from scratch, this can be a Free AutoCAD Course, ideal because the logic of work is understood on a constructive level.
Then to update I suggest the AutoCAD 2012 Course Of guidesimediatas that shows how they have changed the new commands and the ribbon-style interface.
To upload them we have taken the necessary authorization, since they belong to a course that was previously sold on CD. Although only the videos have been included, without the audio.
The following summarizes what these videos represent, separating by color, indicating when they are first used:
- In brown color the creation commands
- In red edit commands
- In green the additional utilities.
The precept remains the same from an article I was talking about a while ago: That it is possible to learn AutoCAD just by knowing The operation of 25 commands; although in the development of this exercise only 8 of Creation, 10 of edition, the reference snap and 6 utilities are needed. Those that are summarized in the following bar:
Obviously this is AutoCAD to start with, many other things are learned later; also the focus of this is construction plans, topography will involve other commands, 3D will take something else. But we serve the resource for those who want to know what AutoCAD is for and in what order a construction project is worked.
Commands are not included in the list as Regen, zoom, pan, save, snap, Which are of complementary use throughout the work.
1. Create layers, axes and wallsCommands used:
Duration: 20 minutes. |
2. Creating window and door holes in the walls.
|
3. Creating doors and windows.
|
4. Drawing of Closet and unevenness in the floor
Duration: 6 minutes. |
5. Drawing of sanitary furniture.
|
6. Drawing of other furniture.
|
7. Shading of environments and inserting plantsCommands used:

Additionally, in the Youtube channel of Geofumadas, there are other explanatory videos of complementary commands and a couple of preliminary chapters that show how to create the 25 bar commands and the background color configuration of AutoCAD.

Very good.
I wanted to subscribe to YouTube by following the "subscribe" link and I couldn't do it, if you have any other way, I will appreciate it, since I am interested in continuing to learn Autocad, both in 2D and 3D.
Thank you:
Your friend: Manuel Libreros
Regards!
I would also like to see a course for MicroStation, since they are more difficult to find than those of AutoCAD.
By the way, very good course.
