We are currently experiencing a boom in many technologies and brands whose application in geographical information systems is feasible in this list, separated by the type of license. Perhaps we have heard something from ArcGIS, Geomedia, Mapinfo, Manifold, Grass, GvSig ... although from almost all of us we have seen comments scattered in many forums, a concentrated comparison of all together may be missing. The alternatives are always good. Commercial softwares deserve a lot of investment and many times they do many things that we can achieve with a free soft.

You have left a very widespread GIS in England, Japan, Australia and the USA ... less known in other countries but it has more and more users.

CADCORP

It is the GIS platform that reads more formats natíentemente (without needing to import), and a perfect ally to attack any type of database.
