How Autodesk Design Works
AutoDesk keeps the Involved Users Program active, whose acronym in English is CIP, and as he comments Shaan Hurley, is the way to be able to suggest new ideas.
The chart is made of milk, to explain how it works here I give you an example:
A user in Madagascar buys Office 2007 and says:
-Hey! What if AutoCAD looked like this.- So send the request
The design team receives it, studies the proposal for three long minutes. The marketing expert says that the idea can be very good, they elaborate the conceptual design and justify the technical requirements and then send it to the development area ... meanwhile the marketing expert meets with his team to adjust the portfolio.
The development area breaks the head for months and finally sends it to Design.
-Oh my GOD, it looks like the heaven!
They are available to beta testers, who answer in unison:
-Whose ## $% & was the idea?
Perhaps the joke is over the top, but I suppose it must be difficult for a software architect to make decisions where marketing principles outweigh the romance of programming. Some of us are not surprised by what the sun shines on us for days. AutoCAD 2009 ribbon, especially since 15 years ago when AutoCAD R13 arrived many hit the cry to heaven because now the commands had icons.
Within 15 years, nobody will remember the problem ... I dare to think that many could even be in a hammock taking care of grandchildren.
