Reference and Constraints with AutoCAD - Section 3

13.1.2 Zoom and Dynamic Window

The “Zoom Window” allows you to define a rectangle on the screen by clicking on opposite corners of it. The part of the drawing circumscribed by the rectangle (or window) will be the one that is enlarged.

A similar tool is the “Dynamic” zoom tool. When activated, the cursor becomes a rectangle that we can move with the mouse over our entire drawing; then, by clicking, we modify the size of said rectangle. Finally, with the "ENTER" key, or with the "Exit" option from the floating menu, Autocad will regenerate the drawing by zooming in on the rectangle area.

13.1.3 Scale and Center

“Scale” requests, through the command window, the factor by which the drawing zoom will have to be modified. A factor of 2, for example, will enlarge the drawing to twice its normal display (which is therefore equal to 1). A factor of .5 will display the drawing at half size, of course.

In turn, the "Center" tool asks us for a point on the screen, which will be the center of the zoom, then a value that will be its height. That is, based on the chosen center, Autocad will regenerate the drawing showing all the objects covered by the height. We can also indicate this value with 2 points on the screen with the cursor. With what this tool becomes more versatile.
