Editing Objects with AutoCAD - Section 4

17.2 Move

This command simply moves the selected object or objects using a base point and a location point.

17.3 Delete

Erase is one of the simplest operations, so we would offend the reader's intelligence if we try to explain it (although I suspect that we have already explained things that the reader himself could have used without any explanation, but what are we going to do ...) . Just note that we can also select objects and press the DELETE key.

17.4 Climbing

Climbing proportionally modifies the size of an object (or several) depending on a scale factor that we must indicate. Obviously, if the factor is 1, the selection does not undergo any change. A .5 factor reduces objects by half and one of 2 increases by double. It is possible to say that in any case we must indicate a base point from which the change is made. Finally, the command options allow us to maintain the original and create a scaled copy. Also, alternatively to the scale factor, we can indicate a reference length, obviously, the proportion in the increase or decrease of the length, it will be the proportion in which the object will be scaled.

17.5 Crop

The Crop command takes the form of one or more objects and uses them as cutting edges. Once selected, other objects intersecting them can be trimmed. The command concludes with the ENTER key or the Enter option in the context menu. The Edge and Capture options, once the cutting edges have been defined, simply serve to choose the objects to be trimmed more quickly. Remember that the concepts Edge and Capture were already addressed in the previous chapter when we studied methods of object selection.

Finally, again, your Projection and Arista options are applied in the 3D environment, so they will be discussed later.
